Thankful
The snow was falling from the sky.
It's March the 3rd, 'tis March, my friend.
When will the snowfall ever end?
Upon a bush, I saw a bud.
I got to walk on squishy mud.
So why still come the snow and cold?
This winter weather's getting OLD!
Content in this? Oh, you are right.
My attitude is no delight.
I must be thankful (for the snow?)
Thankful (inside, there's warmth, you know).
I'm thankful snow will sometime end.
I'm thankful spring is 'round the bend.
I'm thankful snow can look quite nice.
I'm thankful the highway is clear of ice.
I'm thankful mid-semester's here.
I'm thankful that the car is near.
Inside the car more homework waits
(Due on various approaching dates)
So now with peace again in sight,
I'll walk through grey and brown and white.
Homework again, but don't forget
I can still be thankful yet!

lost
Hello people, how are you? I am loosing things. At this point, I have lost the words to one CD, my camera (last remembered appearence Monday a week and a half ago), my JumpDrive (last known appearance 6 days ago), and my Costco card (last dateable appearance was in 2007). That is sad. I suppose I should try to clean my room.
Today I haven't felt so well. So I put my sandwich in the trunk of the car (so maybe it wont spoil while I don't eat it) and had a banana and something sugary to drink. Okay, maybe not the BEST choice of food, but it worked. Now I am tired and feel a little less than 100% of my normal intelligence level. Maybe I should go find more sugar or something besides a sandwich to eat.
I like using colored fonts. That way even though I don't have a camera in a known location (to me), I can still have a colorful entry.
I think I saw a cayote yesterday while I was driving. I suppose it could have been a dog or some other type of dog-like animal, but I like to think it was a cayote running accross the snow. It was beautiful.
What should I write in purple? Purple is a good color for flowers. The snow has melted some. Yesterday was wet and rainy. Nice (sincerely. I liked the wet rainyness, even if I did think sunshine would be nice). Today I saw lots of blue sky for a time. It was beautiful.
So I really like green. But I've written enough. Have a nice day.

a wintery life

I think we have something like 5 feet of snow on the ground now. (This would be smaller that the total number of feet that have fallen, because snow sometimes melts and it compresses. According to a neighbor, 10 feet and 11 inches have fallen, not including the little we got today.) On a slope, I dug my foot in until I think the uphill snow was above my waist, maybe even the downhill snow was close to my waist, and I don't think I had reached the ground yet.

"Road temporarily closed due to snow." Part of the road was plowed up to, but not through, so a warning sign was put out.

Some snow slides off the back roof onto the back porch and is shoveled and makes a very high pile. It gives adventurous siblings a faster start to the sled hill.

snow

Over the weekend, we had gotten about 18 inches, so that would make something close to four feet of snow. Then Tuesday we got more snow. Maybe seven inches? Enough that my parents didn't think I could drive all the way home from college, so I stayed with a friend in town. But I got home today (Wednesday) safely, thank God.
