Not sure what it is, but the cats like to be on the hood of vehicles (in the garage or not).
Where the road and our driveway intersect.
Study break. (Yes! I was wearing sunglasses to study in my car. The sun was bright and the car was very warm.)
Pretending to study. (Heavy winter coat attempts the job of a sun shield.)
(I ended up opening the window one or two days this week because it got too warm in the car.)

Sunset. (Friday a week ago, maybe?)

More Footography

Once this winter with Priscilla.Today! The snow is melting! See the grass? And the dirt? And the dry sidewalk! One sight I like is dry pavement.
But there's still alot of snow. My backpack is in the middle, for scale. This is from the school parkinglot. Earlier this week, a big yellow bulldozer or something (I don't know what it's called) was putting snow from another parkinglot pile into the back of another truck. I'm not sure where they take it. :)
Last night, I practiced driving my dad's manual transmission truck. Some day it may bring me to school when the car can't make it. So anyway, my dad was there to teach and I was there to practice, and we stopped on a little hill, because that's one way to practice. Of course, if it is an icy hill, the practice is even more challanging. (Don't worry, it was in our neighborhood. We actually only were passed by one vehicle going the other way.) Anyhow, I did get stuck on (or at the foot of) the hill (though I probably wasn't really stuck, because until you prove that you can go neither forward OR backwards, you aren't completely stuck). So I got to try the four-wheel drive. It works well.

Thank you

Thank you

lost

Hello people, how are you? I am loosing things. At this point, I have lost the words to one CD, my camera (last remembered appearence Monday a week and a half ago), my JumpDrive (last known appearance 6 days ago), and my Costco card (last dateable appearance was in 2007). That is sad. I suppose I should try to clean my room.

Today I haven't felt so well. So I put my sandwich in the trunk of the car (so maybe it wont spoil while I don't eat it) and had a banana and something sugary to drink. Okay, maybe not the BEST choice of food, but it worked. Now I am tired and feel a little less than 100% of my normal intelligence level. Maybe I should go find more sugar or something besides a sandwich to eat.

I like using colored fonts. That way even though I don't have a camera in a known location (to me), I can still have a colorful entry.

I think I saw a cayote yesterday while I was driving. I suppose it could have been a dog or some other type of dog-like animal, but I like to think it was a cayote running accross the snow. It was beautiful.

What should I write in purple? Purple is a good color for flowers. The snow has melted some. Yesterday was wet and rainy. Nice (sincerely. I liked the wet rainyness, even if I did think sunshine would be nice). Today I saw lots of blue sky for a time. It was beautiful.

So I really like green. But I've written enough. Have a nice day.

a wintery life

I think we have something like 5 feet of snow on the ground now. (This would be smaller that the total number of feet that have fallen, because snow sometimes melts and it compresses. According to a neighbor, 10 feet and 11 inches have fallen, not including the little we got today.) On a slope, I dug my foot in until I think the uphill snow was above my waist, maybe even the downhill snow was close to my waist, and I don't think I had reached the ground yet.

"Road temporarily closed due to snow." Part of the road was plowed up to, but not through, so a warning sign was put out.
Road (the other way) temporarily open, due to God's grace. Plowed roads are a priviledge, not a right.
Can you see the picnic table covered in snow and the goat shed with snow sliding off the roof and the hay barn?

Can you see the goat and the fence that almost disappears into the snow (I think it does disappear farther on)?
The sledding trails are along the path a little farther, but don't step off the path unless you are wearing boots (and snow pants).

Some snow slides off the back roof onto the back porch and is shoveled and makes a very high pile. It gives adventurous siblings a faster start to the sled hill.

Aren't my youngest two brothers good at snow sculpting?
Narrow walkways, raised paths, high piles to try to shovel onto, beautiful dog.
